Attorney Leah Bachmeyer-Kille Wins WILG Scholarship

Lexington, KY: Harris Federal Employee Law Firm is pleased to announce the promotion of Leah Bachmeyer Kille to the position of partner. Harris Federal is one of the nation’s leading federal employee benefits law firms, having successfully represented more than 8,000 federal employees since 2005.

A graduate of Rhodes College (2010) and the University of Kentucky College of Law (2013), Bachmeyer Kille brings a wealth of experiential knowledge to her new position. While attending law school, she worked for Harris Federal as both a summer intern and part-time employee.

“Since Leah joined the firm in 2011, we have seen her exhibit great professionalism and excellent conduct in our specific area of work – federal employee workers compensation and federal employee disability retirement,” said Brad Harris, the firm’s Managing Attorney. “We consider ourselves lucky to have her on our team and now to call her a partner in the firm.”

Her expertise includes representing federal workers with appeals to the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) for Federal Disability Retirement or adverse employment actions, and obtaining schedule awards through the Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs. She also assists in Social Security Disability cases, Veteran’s Disability cases, and local Personal Injury cases. Bachmeyer Kille has successfully litigated more than 500 cases before the MSPB.

“Given her impressive background and dedication to advocating for federal employees, Leah’s elevation from associate attorney to partner is a logical and well-deserved step,” said Bo Harris, the firm’s President. “We’re thrilled for her and grateful for her loyalty and commitment.”

As a partner at Harris Federal, Bachmeyer Kille will work alongside the firm’s team of attorneys to provide comprehensive legal support and representation to injured and ill federal employees nationwide. Her addition to the partnership further reinforces Harris Federal’s position as a trusted advocate for federal workers hoping to secure their benefits.

Bachmeyer Kille lives in Lexington, Ky., with her husband and daughter.
